Gender Diversity

Beyond Bank Australia’s aspiration is for our workforce to represent the diversity of our customers and the communities we serve. We believe a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusivity, empowers our people to contribute their different talents, express their perspectives, experiences and lifestyles, enabling them to perform at their best when creating and returning value for our customers.

We are encouraged by the positive reduction in our gender pay gap from the previous reporting period, underscoring our ongoing commitment to achieving gender diversity. In pursuit of our goal, we will continue to investigate and analyse our gender pay-gap and talk with our people about their experiences to help us better understand the factors that have contributed to the current gap. Using this information, we will review our policies and develop new strategies for our leaders and people, uplifting their awareness, providing guidance, and cultivating innovative actions we can take to overcome barriers and reduce our gender pay gap.

Beyond Bank Australia’s median total remuneration gender pay gap reduced 0.4% in the 2022-23 reporting period. Our improvement placed us 25.9% lower than the banking industry average. Our representation of women across each quartile of our workforce is also better than the banking industry average. Notwithstanding this comparison, our gender pay gap is influenced by a lower representation of females in senior leadership roles and a higher representation of females in less senior roles.

We recognise that to achieve a more equal workplace requires time and persistence. We maintain confidence in our well-devised plan that will lead to positive change now and in the long term.

In our dedicated pursuit for gender equity, Beyond Bank already has in place:

  • Diverse representation in our recruitment and selection
