Football Youth Leader – Northern Suburbs SA
If you love the idea of using sport to help disadvantaged young people to engage with the community, then the Football United®-UniSA Leadership Program is for you!
Football United®-UniSA uses the power of football to bring people together, create strong community bonds and facilitate social inclusion.
As a Youth Leader, you will participate in our training program which includes a Football United®-UniSA Induction, Responding to Abuse and Neglect certification, and other practical and online accredited coaching courses delivered by the Australian Sports Commission, Football federation of SA, and the Office of Recreation and Sport.
This is a great opportunity to gain skills which will enable you to use sport to provide leadership and coach life skills through sport to disadvantaged young people who include newly-arrived migrants, refugees, indigenous and low-socio economic youth.
Locations are at a variety of Northern Suburbs Primary Schools during the school term on Wednesdays from 2pm to approximately 5pm.
Volunteers must be aged 18 years and over and willing to have a National Criminal History Clearance from the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion and to undertake training in Accredited Coaching Courses, Mentorship and Support Networks.
