Meet our 2014 Pageant King – Ryan
Ryan is a Product Manager in our Adelaide office and has been working at Beyond Bank for nearly six years. Last year he participated in the Pageant as a Clown and was amazed at how excited the children were along the Pageant route. So this year he’s really looking forward to taking on a bigger role. He was nominated as the Beyond bank Prince and in July, was crowned the Pageant King!
What does Christmas mean to you?
I believe Christmas is all about the kids. Christmas inspires children to be more creative, to be more caring and teaches them to put others before themselves, especially those that are most disadvantaged.
What does the Credit Union Christmas Pageant mean to you?
After participating in my first Pageant last year, I realised that the culture I remember from being a kid is still in play today – Dad gets to the Pageant early to save a spot close to the action and put down the blanket, as Mum comes in an hour later with the kids.
Why do you think the Credit Union Christmas Pageant continues to be loved after 80+ years?
After being around so long, the Pageant is a rare event that transcends generations. My mum remembers taking me to the Pageant, just as my Grandpa remembers taking my mum.
Ryan looks forward to representing Beyond Bank as King in the Credit Union Christmas Pageant on Saturday 8 November!
