Horticulture Volunteers – Canberra City ACT
The National Capital Authority are looking for dedicated individuals to help look after the Rose gardens at old Parliament House, as well as other gardens as required.
Horticulture Volunteers work in small teams for an average of 3 hours on weekday mornings helping with weeding, dead-heading roses and general gardening duties.
Teams are managed by an elected coordinator and are allocated a garden in the Old Parliament House Gardens, for which they are responsible. Volunteers receive ongoing training and support from rose and garden professionals as well as continual professional development.
Volunteers will be required to have vaccinations for Tetanus, Hep A and Hep B provided by the NCA.
This role is suited to people aged 18 years and over who have an interest in gardening.
