Tackling Type 1 Diabetes
On Sunday 26 October we are supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) Walk to Cure at Burswood Park in Perth.
The Walk to Cure Diabetes is the world’s largest event raising funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The community takes steps together in capital cities as well as many regional centres and small towns, to raise awareness and funds for T1D research.
Since JDRF began the event over 20 years ago they have raised nearly $30 million for vital research, but there’s more work to do. JDRF is the only global organisation with a strategic research plan to end T1D. They want to keep people healthy and safe today until they reach their ultimate goal of a future without T1D.
At the Walk to Cure Diabetes you’ll meet people in the T1D community, enjoy a fun family day out and be part of the team who raises funds for T1D research projects.
Take steps to help create a future without type 1 diabetes and one day you will be able to say that you helped turn Type One into Type None!
