Volunteer Mentor – Windale NSW

Do you have a love for teaching and want to lend a helping hand to empower children’s passion for learning?

Mentors are required to work with primary school students aged 8-12yrs, in a brand new Homework & Cultural Centre on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 3:30pm – 6pm.

Volunteers are required to support students to enjoy learning in numeracy, literacy, fun, games and indigenous cultural awareness.

This role would best suited to prac. teachers and university students, retired teachers and educators or those who enjoy empowering children’s passion for learning. Volunteers will gain satisfaction from assisting young people to overcome educational and life related problems but also great for volunteers to: increase teaching hours, gain experience in a teaching/mentoring environment whilst studying, connect with and/or share indigenous culture and keep skills current.

Volunteers are required to obtain a current Working with Children Check.
