Whyalla community groups rewarded
Our inaugural annual northern region Community Reward Account Awards road show found its way to Whyalla on Tuesday evening 22nd of September.
Key community stakeholders and Beyond Bank staff gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of five local Community Reward Account recipients.
Shane Farley, National Community Development Manager opened proceedings with an overview of the bank’s community philosophy followed by General Manager, Community Development Peter Rutter.
The audience were delighted to hear that the Community Reward Account annual bonus payment for financial year 2014-15 exceeded $309k nationally, and more so that $16k was being distributed to the northern region.
This was an outstanding achievement as the previous financial year, the first year it had been introduced to the northern region, only $1.6k had been awarded as CRA bonus payments.
Community Reward Account recipients in partnership with local branch staff are ensuring that from ‘little things big things will grow’.
Pictured above are representatives of Whyalla Pink Spirits who were the highest performing northern region Community Reward Account recipient.
Only being in the program some twelve months, President Raelene Williams and supporters were overwhelmed to receive an annual bonus payment of $3,553.18.
Whyalla Pink Spirits are a support group for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and intend to direct these funds to their wig stock pile – ‘Hair to Help’.
It was a great community event on a warm balmy spring evening, strongly supported by not-for-profit representatives and Beyond Bank staff across all areas of our business.
The last of this years northern region Community Reward Account Award evenings will be held at Port Augusta on 24th September.
