Walk with friends, walk for fun, walk for fitness – but definitely Walk4Ability

Join us on Saturday 28 November 2015 to Walk4Ability and raise funds for the next stage of Boundless – The Centenary of Canberra National Playground.

Boundless Canberra is the ACT’s first inclusive playground, a place where children of all abilities can play together. Boundless is designed as a space where all children can experience the benefits of play. Somewhere they can socialise, explore, challenge physical limits and make new friends. The first stage of Boundless recently opened.

Beyond Bank has been a key supporter of Boundless since its inception and continues to work with it to make planned future stages a reality.

Like Boundless, Walk4Ability is all about generating greater social inclusion. It raises funds for local community groups to provide inclusive activities and events and provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to display their ABILITIES.

Walk4Ability takes place at Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, with the event kicking off at Kings Park near the Carillion. If you are coming along, the best place to park is at Russell – it is only a short three minute walk across the traffic lights and down the path to Boundless.

You can choose to join us for a 5km or 1km walk. Prams, bikes, and dogs are welcome and we encourage you to dress up in yellow, blue or orange.

If you really want to challenge yourself and your colleagues, you can race in a wheelchair the Canberra Chargers over 5km. This allows you to experience the physical challenge first hand and become an advocate for wheelchair accessibility.

Boundless Canberra is one of the local community groups being supported through this event. When you register, please nominate Boundless as your charity of choice.

After the walk, you are invited to bring a picnic and join the Boundless team at the playground.

Looking forward to seeing you on 28 November and enjoying a great day out together.
