Trainee Kate

Traineeships at Beyond Bank

In partnership with Career Employment Group, we have taken on a trainee called Kate to enable her to gain a qualification in Certificate 3 Financial Services within the Beyond Bank Traineeship program.

In this role she will complete the Certificate and be coached to provide a high level of service to members, which includes providing information on our extensive range of products and services, account transactions and developing member relationships.

Traineeships provide a great opportunity for the youth to start their career with us. We spoke to Kate about her experience.

Why did you decide to do a traineeship with Beyond Bank?
I applied for the trainee position at Beyond Bank as I am interested in financial services. I also enjoy customer service and assisting customers as best I can. Ever since I started school I wanted to work in a bank. Whenever I would get asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always say that I want to work at a bank!

What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to become a lender because I enjoy working with people and their finances, and assisting people with their needs. I think being a lender would be challenging but also rewarding.

What have you learnt so far in your traineeship?
So far in my traineeship I have learnt that there is more to banking then just cash transactions as this is what I expected before I started.

What have you enjoyed the most in your traineeship?
In my traineeship, I have enjoyed being able to assist customers with their needs by identifying their situation and giving them the best solution possible.
