Port Augusta Business Awards 2016

Beyond Bank Australia Outstanding Business Awards 2015

The magnificent entertainment and sporting facility at Central Oval Port Augusta was the perfect setting once again for the Beyond Bank Australia Outstanding Business Awards 2015.

Held on Friday 24th June 2016, over two hundred people gathered to celebrate the achievements of local businesses and employees during 2015.

Business Port Augusta promote this annual event to recognise small and medium business owners and employees and at the same time add inductees to the Hall of Fame for community members who have made a lifelong contribution to the township and its people.

This year Greg and Margaret McDonald and Peter Martin were inducted into the Hall of Fame and the Most Outstanding Business Award was won by ‘Saltbush Livestock – Bultarra Australian Saltbush Lamb‘. And to top off a great year, they were also successful in winning the Best Medium Business and the Most Innovative Business.

Their unique pastoral grazing conditions, breed selection and five generations of experience ensure they produce the highest quality Dorper lambs.  The business is fully integrated from stud stock, to lamb breeding and then supplying leading butchers and chefs in Australia and around the world.

Manager Jamie McTaggart said he was overwhelmed with the awards. “It’s sort of a bit of a surprise to be totally honest with you but we do a lot of business here and it’s very important to us,” Mr McTaggart said.

Beyond Bank Senior Relationship Advisor Sarah Mayhew said the event exceeded expectations and reaffirmed Beyond Bank’s focus to the Port Augusta business community.
