Victor Harbor New Years Eve 2017
The City of Victor Harbor is expecting more than 10,000 people to bring in the new year at the New Year’s Eve celebrations being held on Warland Reserve.
City of Victor Harbor Mayor Graham Philp said the event has become a major part of their local events calendar.
The New Year’s Eve celebration continues to grow each year with more visitors enjoying the festivities along with the thousands of locals who loyally come out for this free community event.
The 2016 program will involve a stellar line-up of entertainment with a focus on local talent and with an earlier fireworks display to cater for families with young children.
This year will be the best celebrations ever with two fireworks displays, lots of entertainment for the kids and live music from two local bands, there is sure to be something for everyone.
It’s fantastic that we’re able to play a role in delivering an event that spreads so much fun and enjoyment in the community.
I believe in giving back to the community and what better way to do this in Victor Harbor than to support one of the city’s major, free community events.
To kick start the celebrations I am inviting all locals to visit our branch on the corner of Coral and McKinlay Streets to pick up your glow stick for the night.
Look out for volunteers who will be giving out thousands of free glow sticks on the night.
The festivities will kick off at 7.30pm with firework displays at 9.45pm and midnight.
Road closures will be in place around the event area. To find out more or to download the event program visit www.holidayatvictorharbor.com.au
See you on the night.
