South West Credit members have voted in favour of a merger with Beyond Bank Australia at a Special General Meeting held in Warrnambool, Victoria on Monday 21 March. Beyond Bank is one of the largest customer-owned banks in Australia and the merge will see South West Credit’s 13,000 customers link in to Beyond Bank’s extensive regional and metropolitan national network.

Beyond Bank has always been driven to help strengthen communities. In 2013, we decided it was time to further our commitment by launching a dedicated community team, focused on working for and with communities across Australia.

We’re tackling the issue of housing affordability head-on by: • lending money to first home buyers who are part of the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme • partnering with frontline housing affordability providers to help women and families at risk of homelessness • assist people living in public housing to continue their education. It’s all part of how we support the community.
