We're helping to empower women to achieve financial independence

Dress For Success is a not-for-profit organisation that helps disadvantaged women who are seeking to re-enter the workforce after a period of unemployment.

Dress For Success provides professional clothing, a network of support, coaching and career development tools.

For women like Jada, Dress for Success’ support helped to turn her life around. A mother of five, Jada has overcome a seemingly insurmountable number of challenges. After surviving an abusive relationship and incarceration, Jada joined a program to enable reintegration into the community. In Phase 3 of the program, participants are expected to gain or be ready to gain employment, and to be financially responsible. This is when Jada found Dress for Success Sydney.

With the help of Dress for Success Sydney, Jada was able to secure a paid internship with a culinary program—taking the first steps towards full-time employment. This experience has instilled a new sense of confidence in Jada as she is doing something she loves.

The Beyond Bank team recently supported Dress for Success Sydney in our Double Donation fundraising event.  With the support of many Sydneysiders, we raised over $14,000 in 48 hours.  These donations will help transition 42 women from welfare to employment and financial independence.

"When we can help a woman into employment, not only does she become financially stable, but she is also on a pathway to achieving financial independence. From setbacks, their lives can be changed for the better, positively impacting their families and communities," said Leisa Sadler, CEO of Dress for Success Sydney.

To show our commitment to breaking the bias and supporting women in our communities, Beyond Bank was also proud to feature Dress for Success during our 2022 International Women’s Day celebrations. Coming together to celebrate and support by contributing over $2,000 to Dress for Success means even more women will have access to their services.

We are for and with those in our community who need help on their pathway to financial independence.
