2014 Mandurah Crab Fest – Mandurah WA
What’s big, blue, has business like exterior but is soft inside? Were talking, of course, about the beautiful Blue Manna Crabs that pack the waters of Mandurah’s Peel Estuary! This years Mandurah Crab Fest will run from the 15th and 16th March and Volunteers are needed to assist with the Lost Child Points along the foreshore over the two days festival.
Constable Care Child Safety Foundation will be operating three Lost Child Points as part of the events safety strategy and will act as a meeting place for parents, carers and children who have become separated from each other. Volunteers will assist Constable Care staff in distributing Lost Child stickers, issuing instructions on the usage of stickers, reuniting parents or carers with their children and liaising with event and security staff.
Volunteers work in 4 hour shifts and will be provided with a Constable Care top and with refreshments. Volunteers applying with a valid Working With Children Check will be given preference and volunteers who require a Working With Children Check may obtain one at no charge through Constable Care Child Safety Foundation before the event. All volunteers must hold a valid Working With Children Check Card.
Volunteers must be aged 18 years and over and be committed, dependable, team players with a genuine interest in child safety.
