ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 – ACT

Do you have a love for Cricket? Want to get involved in the ICC Cricket World Cup?

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2015. Fourteen countries will compete for cricket’s ultimate prize. Around one million fans will attend. A further one billion people around the world are expected to watch match broadcasts. And just one team will make it happen. The ICC is looking for volunteers to join us to help ensure the Tournament’s success in the ACT.

Volunteers must meet have the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Values (excellence, integrity, teamwork, inclusion and adaptability), have a positive and team focused attitude, strong communication skills, be approachable, and be personable and friendly.

With a wide variety of roles available, various skills and experiences are required these include: commercial and sponsor servicing, event operations, media and broadcast operations, spectator and fan services, transport, VIP and hospitality, and workforce.  Shifts depend on role, but take place before and throughout the course of the Tournament.

Volunteers must be available to volunteer throughout the Tournament dates as required; have confirmed accommodation and the ability to get to/from venues; attend a volunteer interview; complete scheduled training requirements; attend uniform and accreditation collection; and have a friendly attitude.

    I would be interested in Volunteering for the ICC World Cup events in the ACT. I am retired, have a Working with Vulnerable People Card, have a current Cert IV in Training and Development, am an Assistant Chief Commissioner responsible for Adult Support in Scouts ACT and have trained as a professional Santa Claus which I do every year.
