Talking Newspaper Team Member – Various SA
Royal Society for the Blind of SA are seeking volunteers for their Talking Newspaper Team’s in regional South Australia.
Talking Newspaper team members are required in Port Pirie, Port Lincoln, Port Augusta and Whyalla.
The Talking Newspaper service assists RSB clients who are vision impaired or blind to maintain their quality of life and independence through the provision of the talking newspaper service on a weekly basis. Volunteer readers prepare and read articles onto the recording equipment and duplicators copy recordings onto SD for posting to clients.
There are various roles available within the team including Readers, who prepare and read the articles onto recording equipment; Duplicators, who copy recordings onto SD in prep for posting to clients.
Volunteers must be willing to undergo a National Police Check (paid for by RSB) and be aged 18 years and over.
