Camp Leader – Victor Harbor SA
Love working with kids? Volunteer on our camp (17th to 19th April 2015) and help children in need from our community who have been having a rough time at school or home. Join our friendly team of volunteers who plan, organise and run the camp.
Toc H South Australia is a part of a worldwide organisation that has been providing services to South Australians for over 80 years. We’re looking for people to join our team of volunteers for our upcoming Autumn Camp for children in need aged 7 – 11 years old.
No experience is necessary, only enthusiasm and a willingness to participate and have fun. It can be an exhausting experience, but the camps are really rewarding and a lot of fun for both the children and volunteers. The children have had a rough time at school or home and we make sure they get a break and get to try new activities.
If you have prior experience with children (especially in a camp environment), you can also apply to be the Camp Coordinator or Assistant Camp Coordinator. Coordinators take on extra responsibilities for preparing and organising activities, managing the children and leaders and making sure the camp runs smoothly.
Volunteers are required to attend two meetings prior to camp on a Tuesday evening (date to be decided) at Thebarton and transport is provided to and from Adelaide for the camp. A police check is mandatory and organised through Toc H at no cost to the volunteer and volunteers must be aged 18 and over.
