Samaritans Crisis Line are seeking volunteers to work on our crisis line. As a volunteer in this very important role you will be offering confidential, non-judgemental, emotional telephone support to people who may be experiencing loneliness, despair or suicidal thoughts.
Samaritan volunteers are everyday people who are willing to give their time to support those in crisis. What makes a Samaritan special is their discretion, reliability, open-mindedness and willingness to really listen to others.
Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided and shifts are 3 hours available weekdays, weekends and overnight however flexible volunteer hours are available.
This role is suited to people aged over 18 years who can relate easily to other people, have a clear speaking voice and a good grasp of the English language.
