Port Augusta community rewarded
The northern region Community Reward Account road show was completed on Thursday 23rd September with a hugely successful turnout at Port Augusta’s Tassie Tavern.
Pictured is Suicide Intervention & Life Promotion Action Group (SILPAG) Vice Chair Chez Curnow receiving an annual bonus payment of $2,021.09 from Beyond Bank’s John Hunt, Matt Leonard, Branch Manager & Treasurer for SILPAG Sarah Mayhew and Secretary of SILPAG Shyane McInnis.
Ms Curnow was effusive in her praise for the community reward program and highlighted how important fundraising is to their organisation.
‘Only being a registered recipient for twelve months and achieving such a high amount was a tribute to the Beyond Bank Community Reward Account fundraising program, the local branch staff and the wider community for their support’, she said.
During the course of the evening annual bonus payments were acknowledged by a broad cross section of the not-for-profit sector, including Knights of the Southern Cross, Little Athletics, Port Augusta West Primary School and Walk to Cure Type 1 Diabetes Port Augusta.
Much excitement was generated in the room with the handing out of the cheques and plenty of good natured banter and exchanging of promotional ideas as supporters came to appreciate the success of each recipients award.
Whilst this is a recognition and rewards evening for our key community partners, it is also a celebration of the vibrant community they all live in and an opportunity for Beyond Bank local branch staff to share in the joy and excitement.
A great night had by all, wonderfully hosted by our own Matt Leonard.
