Audio describing at the Credit Union Christmas Pageant

Beyond Bank Australia is delighted to announce that it is funding an audio describing service at this year’s Adelaide Christmas Pageant.

This will mean that visually impaired people, both young and old, will have the chance to experience all the joy and fun of this special day, using headphones to tune into a special frequency where the pageant will be described in detail.

This news is especially exciting for 9 year old twins, Emma and Paige Knowles from Barmera in South Australia’s Riverland.

While Paige has normal vision, her sister Emma struggles to see and their parents haven’t made the three hour trip to the city for the Pageant before because it is unfair for Emma.

Not any more!

Emma is now very excited and has already chosen her favourite floats as you can see from the picture above.

Mum, Dianne said the audio describing means everything to her family as they can now enjoy the Pageant together.

Emma has even advised her teachers that she will need extra time for “show and tell” so that she can let her classmates know every little detail about Pageant day on November 14.
