The privilege of the Pageant: why Beyond Bank is honoured to be involved

On this, the day of the 2015 Credit Union Christmas Pageant, it is worth taking a moment to reflect on what this event means to our community.

For the tens of thousands of children, it signifies all the excitement that Christmas brings : the trip to the Magic Cave, a ride on Nipper or Nimble, the writing of present lists, putting up the family Christmas tree.

For parents and grandparents, it’s the opportunity to see the unbridled joy on young faces as clowns and critters, goblins and grubs, princes and princesses walk by.

For sponsors, like Beyond Bank Australia, it is our way of giving back to the community and it is a tremendous privilege to help bring this event to life.

And the reason we are involved is quite simple.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. It is what drives and motivates us each and every day.

The Credit Union Christmas Pageant encapsulates this community spirit.

Indeed, each year, I am overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of this community event. Its ability to unite us is unrivalled; its ability to generate happiness, unquestioned.

It’s why Beyond Bank is thrilled to be involved.

And of course, there are the many Beyond Bank staff members who put in countless hours to prepare for the Pageant.

Some are on the frontline, donning crazy costumes and climbing aboard floats for the big parade. Others work tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating and managing all manner of details.

It is an honour and privilege to work alongside these people and I thank them for all they do.

So, on Pageant Day and with the festive season fast approaching, may I take this opportunity to extend Christmas greetings from the Beyond Bank family to your own family for a safe and happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.

Beyond Bank has been proudly bringing you the #cupageant magic for 20 years.
