Well the weather gods certainly favoured the Griffith Cycle Club over the long weekend for the 2016 National Masters Road Race, Criterium and Time Trial.
Rain stopped during the day, sun shone for three days straight and the strong winds made racing conditions very interesting and very tough for some.
Over 300 cyclists travelled to Griffith for the weekend, with most competitors doing all three races at three different circuits located around Griffith.
Competitors travelled from far and wide to compete in this National Event. Racing certainly steps up for this event compared to State Events – racing is much harder and certainly faster. Both Melissa Budd from Beyond Bank and Peter Budd from the Griffith Cycle Club finished in the top 10 in their respective events.
The Griffith Cycle Club certainly has an exceptional reputation for hosting top quality events at this level of competition.
