Congratulations to Annette St Clair – Local Woman of the Year

Congratulations to Annette St Clair who was nominated by Wagga’s local MP Daryl Maguire for the Regional Woman of the Year Award.

At a special Woman of the Year Award ceremony held in Sydney this week Annette was presented with the “Local Woman of the Year” award.

The award ceremony took place in the Grand Ballroom at the International Convention Centre in Sydney with a lovely breakfast and special guests Premier Gladys Berejiklian and TV personality, Gretel Killeen.

Annette is the founder and heart and soul behind the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust and was recognised for the wonderful work she does in our local community.

The Trust was established in 2010 by Annette and Peter St Clair, parents of Amie St Clair, who was only 20 years old when she was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. Amie battled long and hard for just over 3 years, trying every available treatment. In 2009, just one day after her 23rd birthday, Amie lost her battle with cancer.

The Trust was created in Amie’s honour and is dedicated to providing support to Riverina families with regards to melanoma prevention and education and endeavours to provide better access to specialised care for the communities of the Wagga region.
