The Domestic Violence Crisis Service is launching Assistance Beyond Crisis (ABC) a sustainable micro finance facility which provides support to those living in the ACT who have escaped domestic violence situations.
The ABC facility will offer one-off, no interest loans, primarily for providing some stability financially for a short term one-off need.
The Women’s Centre for Health Matters and the Domestic Violence Crisis Service has been working with Deloitte, The Snow Foundation, CARE Financial Counselling and KPMG. Together, they have developed a response for locals who have escaped domestic violence situations and stabilised their situation, but who have immediate financial needs, and whose ability to pay at that point in time is low.
Beyond Bank Australia is proud to partner this cause and be able to help provide financial support to these families through this program.
If you know of anyone who needs assistance or is looking for information please visit the Domestic Violence Crisis Service website, www.dvcs.org.au or for urgent matters you can access their 24hr crisis line on (02) 6280 0900.
