2019 Young Canberra Citizen of the Year.

Canberra is bursting at the seams with young people doing some amazing things in our local community.

And soon enough, we will have a chance to celebrate their achievements with nominations now open for the 2019 Young Canberra Citizen of the Year awards.

Beyond Bank has sponsored these awards since their inception in 1989 and over those 30 years, we have been both proud and privileged to meet and get to know the finalists and recipients who have made a real difference to the lives of others.

While the awards culminate in honouring the Young Canberra Citizen, there are several other categories that recognise and acknowledge outstanding efforts across fields like community service, commitment to environmental sustainability, personal and group achievement and the arts.

Open to young people from the age of 12 through to 25, this is Canberra’s annual opportunity to say a very big thank you to the unsung heroes of our community, who day in, day out, enrich the lives of others, make our communities better and stronger and add vibrancy and colour to our beautiful city.

With nominations now open, we here at Beyond Bank encourage you to think about the young people you know who deserve some recognition - this is your chance to say thanks!

Nominate now.
