Will there be any changes to my Nexus Mutual Visa Debit Card?
If you have a Nexus Mutual Visa Debit Card, once it expires, you will receive a new Beyond Bank branded Visa Debit Card.
Your new Beyond Bank Visa Debit Card will have a new card number and expiry date. As with all new cards, the steps to get your new card working are as follows:
a) Activate your card
- You can do this through our Mobile App, Internet Banking, calling 13 25 85, or visiting a branch.
b) Update your PIN
- If you’re set up for Mobile App or Internet Banking, you can log in at any time after you receive your card to set up a PIN of your choice. You may choose your existing PIN if you like.
- If you’re not set up for the Mobile App or Internet Banking, you will receive your PIN in the mail in a separate letter. You can only change your PIN by visiting a branch.
c) Destroy your old card securely
Cut your card:
- Through the account number, your signature on the back and the magnetic strip
- From top to bottom, with spaces between the cuts at every two to four digits
- Through the CVV number (the three-digit security code at the back of your card where your signature is)
- Through the security chip on the front of the card
d) Update any direct debits or credits you have set up with your Nexus card
- Contact any merchants or organisations that regularly direct debit your card (such as streaming services or premium payments) and provide them with your new card and expiry date.
- Not updating these could result in your future transactions being declined.
