In January 2026, Family First Bank members voted in favour of the proposal to transfer the business of Family First Bank to Beyond Bank Australia.
In May 2026, we wrote to all Family First Bank members to notify them about the changes we need to make to their membership, accounts, and services from 7 June, when the system transfer over to Beyond Bank occurs.
We are now preparing to finalise the merger with the integration of our banking systems, which will occur from Friday, 5 June to late Sunday, 7 June.
During this period of integration, Beyond Bank and Family First Bank members will experience disruptions in accessing their accounts.
The following services will be affected for Family First Bank members:
- Family First branches will close early on Friday 5 June at 3:00pm local time (2:30pm ACST) to commence the system integration
- Access to your accounts using Family First Bank Internet and Telephone Banking will cease on Friday 5 June at 3:00pm local time (2:30pm ACST)
- Visa card/s will operate with reduced limits
- Delays with any type of incoming or outgoing money transfer
- Branches will be closed on Saturday, 6 June and the public holiday, Monday, 8 June.
The following services will be affected for Beyond Bank members from approximately 1:30am to 7:00am AEST (1:00am to 6:30am ACST) on Sunday, 7 June:
- Mobile App and Internet Banking will not be available
- Online home loan applications (ApplyOnline) will not be available
- Payments including PayID, PayTo, Osko will not be available
- We also expect delays with any type of incoming and outgoing money transfer.
Telephone Banking will be operational as usual.
What can members do to prepare?
- Plan ahead if you have significant transactions to make during this time
- Ensure you have funds available via other methods, including cash
- Visit us at a branch before 3pm AEST, 5 June to withdraw cash to see you through the weekend.
