When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families are often left navigating one of life’s most complex and uncertain journeys. Through your banking, you’re helping change that.

This year, the Leila Rose Foundation joined our Double Donation campaign, raising more than $70,000 to support families facing rare childhood cancers. With support from the Beyond Bank Foundation, member and public donations were matched up to $10,000 to help extend their reach and impact.

The funding is already making a difference, helping families better understand their child’s diagnosis, explore treatment options and ask the questions that matter most. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, parents are gaining clarity and confidence at a time when every decision counts.

Over time, this support helps families feel more in control, strengthens their ability to advocate for their child and reduces the emotional strain that often comes with navigating complex care pathways.

Most importantly, it helps build stronger, more resilient families who are better equipped to face the challenges ahead and to support their child every step of the way.

"While Arlo was going through treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma, I had to stop working to care for him," said Louise Pettinger, mother of Arlo.

"It’s something not many people talk about, but the financial burden that comes with childhood cancer is immense and adds an extra layer of stress during an already incredibly difficult time."

"We are so grateful to the Leila Rose Foundation for supporting our family when we needed it most. Their help made a real difference and allowed us to focus on what truly mattered — being there for Arlo."

"Arlo has now been in remission for 16 months, and we hope with all our hearts it stays that way."
