When will Beyond Bank commence Confirmation of Payee?
Beyond Bank supports the Confirmation of Payee initiative and are on track to deliver this service in early 2026.

What is Confirmation of Payee?
Confirmation of Payee is an industry-wide service that adds a layer of protection for most payments made to an individual or business’ BSB and account number.
It checks the account name, BSB and account number you’ve entered against the details held by the recipient’s bank and lets you know whether it’s a match.
This can:
- help you make informed decisions before you make a payment
- help reduce the risk of scams or making a mistaken payment.

How it works.
- When you make most payments to a BSB and account number, Confirmation of Payee checks the details you enter against the name, BSB and account number held by the recipient’s bank and gives you a match outcome
- That helps you decide what you want to do next – and gives you more confidence that the money you’re paying is going to the right account
- Confirmation of Payee may also be used by any business or person making a payment to you, as the payment details entered will be compared to the account details we hold for you.
Please note: as we are yet to initiate this service, if someone is paying you, the match outcome may show an error message similar to “We could not confirm the account name match”.
This just means that the Payer’s Financial Institution has not been able to match the account name, however, payment can still be made.

We’ll update you when Confirmation of Payee is ready for Beyond Bank customers to use.
Confirmation of Payee will be available soon. We are progressively rolling out the service and will keep you informed through our website and an update in your Statement, which will be sent in January 2026.
