Important security updates for Android users.
The security and protection of your personal details and accounts is our highest priority, so we would like to inform you that we are making important security updates to our Internet Banking and Mobile App on Wednesday 11th April that will affect your Android device.
These updates will mean that Android devices with older versions of the operating system (4.4.X and below) may be unable to access our Internet Banking and Mobile App from Wednesday 11th April, unless simple updates are performed.
To continue uninterrupted access to the Mobile App:
Update your Operating System to Android 5.0 or above: You can update the Operating System via the Settings on your Android device or view this simple guide for step by step instructions. The updated operating system will allow you to continue using the Mobile App including features like fingerprint recognition.
If you are unable to update Android, you can access Internet Banking via Google Chrome:
Download or Update the Google Chrome Browser: If you are unable to complete the update to your Android operating system, you can access Internet Banking via the Google Chrome Browser, available from the Google Play Store. Google Chrome contains the current security standards within the app that are not found in the Android operating system 4.4.X (and below).
You can continue to use Internet Banking and the Mobile App on other compatible computers, smartphones and tablets.
As always, we recommend customers use the latest operating system at all times to protect your information online and continue to access your banking.
