Update: Merger between First Choice Credit Union and Beyond Bank Australia

In December 2023, First Choice Credit Union customers voted in favour of the proposal to transfer the business of First Choice Credit Union to Beyond Bank Australia.

In February 2024, we wrote to all First Choice Credit Union customers to notify them about the changes we need to make to their membership, accounts, and services from 5 April, when the system transfer over to Beyond Bank occurs.

We are preparing to finalise the merger with system integration, which will occur from Friday, 5 April, to Sunday, 7 April.

During this period of system integration, Beyond Bank and First Choice Credit Union customers will experience disruptions in accessing their accounts.

 

The following services will be affected for First Choice Credit Union customers:

 

• Agencies and Branch will close at 2:30pm on Friday, 5  April (ACDT)

• Access to your accounts using Internet Banking and Mobile App will cease on Saturday morning at approximately 8:30am (ACDT)

• Access to your accounts using Phone Banking will cease on Friday, 5 April at 2:30pm (ACDT)

• Your Visa Debit card/s will operate with reduced limits

 

The following services will be affected for Beyond Bank customers:

 

From 1:30am Sunday, 7 April (ACST) to 8:00am Sunday, 7 April (ACST), access to your account will be disrupted through the Mobile App, Internet Banking and Phone Banking.

 

What can customers do to prepare?

•             Plan ahead if you have significant transactions to make during this time

•             Ensure you have funds available via other methods, including cash

•             Visit us at a branch (or agencies) before 5 April to withdraw cash to see you through the weekend
