Visa transaction issue - 7 February 2022

We are currently experiencing an issue with Visa transactions.

Usually, when a Visa transaction is performed, there is a restriction (hold) created for the transaction until it is debited from customers’ accounts.

Transactions from customer accounts were not debited from payments made last week, resulting in a higher than actual 'available balance'.

We are aware of instances this morning where the hold has expired but the transactions had not been fully completed. This has resulted in available balances being higher than they were with the hold in place.

What you need to do:

Transactions will still be debited, so please ensure you leave sufficient funds in your account to cover these amounts.

Our team are working to resolve this today and we will provide updates as they are made available.
