Forbes and market research firm Statista surveyed more than 43,000 customers around the globe for their opinions on their current and former banking relationships.
Banks were rated on general satisfaction and key attributes like trust, fees, digital services and financial advice.
The customer owned banking sector dominated Australian rankings for a second year running, with four of the top five banks being customer owned banks.
