The bank behind the community.

Beyond Bank has always been driven to help strengthen communities.

In 2013, we decided it was time to further our commitment by launching a dedicated community team, focused on working for and with communities across Australia. As a customer-owned bank, working in this way makes sense.

Since then, the community development team has developed and driven positive outcomes via partnerships with over 5000 community organisations. Each partnership is unique, and working alongside each and every one of our partners we believe is the most valued experience we can offer. For some, it is simply focussing on delivering a better and more tailored banking experience with a Bank that genuinely values the community sector. For others, the partnership may take advantage of the many other benefits on offer, including participation in our Community Reward Program, gaining access to our grant and sponsorship program, or perhaps welcoming Beyond Bank staff as willing volunteers who are prepared to roll up the sleeves and help wherever needed.

Our volunteering commitment provides staff with two paid community leave days per year. This program helps to drive a culture that encourages our people to get involved in communities with our staff often working side by side with those who are changing lives every day.

Volunteering looks different for each individual. Some have dedicated their time to disaster relief; others have built animal enclosures, wrapped gifts, supported fundraising events, cooked meals for the disadvantaged, packed hampers and sorted clothing. Some of our people walk, cycle or run, and others give blood, build websites or join a local community board.

The commitment to being there for and with our communities started many years ago, and it lives on strongly through the organisation today.
